Electrochemistry 2022. At the Interface between Chemistry and Physics

PD2PI Fellows: Steven Linfield, Bren Felisilda and Marcin Filipiak travelled to Berlin to attend the “Electrochemistry 2022” meeting organised by the German Society of Chemistry (GDCh).

During the conference, Steven presented his work in a poster titled: ‘Determining the sensitivity of fluorogenic reporting reactions towards sub-detection limit electrochemistry’.

Bren was invited to share his research findings in the poster presentation titled “Interfacial electropolymerization at soft polarized interfaces using Fenton chemistry” which aroused a lot of interest from the conference visitors. 

Marcin Filipiak presented a poster entitled: Accelerating field-effect transistor based (bio)sensor research with a miniaturised bipotentiostat.

The conference was an excellent opportunity for PD2PI Fellows to talk to fellow early career researchers and some prominent specialists in the field. They could also discuss potential collaboration with industrial partners (eg. PalmSens- Compact Electrochemical Interfaces)
