“From Postdoc to PI: the future leaders of ERA” (PD2PI) is a novel programme dedicated to postdoc fellows co-financed by the European Commission (H2020, MSCA-FP) and the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. It focuses on broadly understood chemistry with its links to medicine, biology and physics. Party responsible for the programme is the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPC), Polish leading research entity with the highest research excellence category (A+).
We invite Experienced Researchers from all over the world to propose interdisciplinary research and submit applications. During fellowships succesful candidates will be carrying out proposed research topics enjoying support of IPC mentor and a mentor from partner organization. Accomplishment of their research project will also be reinforced by tailor-made training programme (based on individual Career Development Plans). Moreover, we propose inclusion of a tenure track into the programme to create a unique offer for postdocs. The PD2PI fellows will get an opportunity to supervise & mentor junior researchers to gain experience in team leading, research project management, co-supervision & advising to junior research staff. This will contribute to the formation of scientists – both – trained and experienced in management, and thus – capable to collaborate with various sectors of economy.
