Dr. Ilona Foik participated onsite in ESCMID Global, the 34th Congress of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, held in Barcelona, Spain, from 27 to 30 April 2024. The objective of this study visit was to enhance Dr. Foik’s knowledge in the field and to explore opportunities for collaboration with other scientists specializing in microbiology and infectious diseases. During the congress, she presented a poster titled “Sub-MIC Antibiotic Pre-exposure Elevates Individual Cell MIC, Promoting Hetero-resistance in Bacteria.”
