PD2PI Fellows had the privilege of visiting the headquarters of Scope Fluidics, a company at the forefront of innovation in microfluidics and diagnostic technologies. The visit was led by Piotr Garstecki, Co-Founder and CEO of Scope Fluidics, Tomasz Kosinski, Head of Scope Discovery, and Seweryn Bajer-Borstyn, Head of the BacterOMIC project in the Scope Fluidics Group.

The meeting proved to be exceptionally enlightening as PD2PI Fellows delved into the history and achievements of Scope Fluidics. A highlight of the discussion was the presentation of Scope Discovery's venture studio model, a pioneering initiative as the first life-science venture studio in Central Eastern Europe. The team also received a comprehensive overview of Scope Fluidics' response to one of the most pressing challenges in modern medicine - antibiotic resistance. This involved an in-depth exploration of the principles and technology behind the groundbreaking product, BacterOMIC.
