(Post)Modern Thermodynamics School & Workshop
Frantisek Muzika attended the (Post)Modern Thermodynamics event in Luxembourg which was focused on Complex System and Statistical Mechanics. Frantisek presented a poster called: “Ferroin loaded Dowex beads under influence of static and dynamic magnetic field". Among many other interesting posters, Frantisek paid a special attention to the poster: “Quantum-tailored Probabilistic Cellular Automata” by Heitor Casagrande; it was focused on an algorithm to derive Probabilistic Cellular Automata states. Frantisek also got interested in presentation focused on quantum computing by Michele Campisi who presented his work with commercial quantum annealer, where he exploited the quantum tunneling effect, which allowed him to erase N qubits simultaneously with energy efficiency. This could potentially save energy for cleaning operation memory, quantum gates or quantum discs.
