Secondment at the Albert Siryaporn Laboratory, University of California Irvine
Ilona Foik, during her visit to the Albert Siryaporn’s Laboratory (University of California Irvine), received a specialist training on preparation of RNA samples and libraries for RNA sequencing. Ilona worked on experiments to generate RNA samples for the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa AL143 treated with 1 μM NaOCl, 4 μM H2O2 along with controls and to prepare them for RNA sequencing. After receiving the results from the sequencing, Ilona will analyse the sequencing data. The results of the analysis will be published in an article: “Activation of a bacterial flow sensor by hypochlorous acid from stimulated neutrophils”
